Austin to Host 2025 CultureMap Tastemaker Awards on May 8

With seven Austin restaurants receiving Michelin stars in the inaugural Texas Michelin Guide released in 2024, the competition is even more dynamic. The recipient of the coveted Restaurant of the Year award will be chosen by a panel comprised of former winners and CultureMap editorial staff, ensuring an independent selection process that does not factor in Michelin status.

  • DipDipDip Tatsu-Ya: A sushi and Japanese hot pot restaurant that has revamped its menu to include traditional nabemono cooking.
  • Emmer & Rye: This long-standing farm-to-table restaurant is celebrated for its sustainability practices and diverse cocktail offerings.
