He captured the footage with his Seestar S50 telescope on the evening of July 21, at precisely 11:29 p.m. Eman reported seeing a black object, moving right to left, silhouetted against the shining disc of the moon.
“It was baffling,” said Eman. “I didn’t know what I was looking at, there was just this black object moving across the moon. I had to double-check if I was seeing things right. Sure enough, there it was, clear as day.”

Eman took to social media to share his peculiar discovery, which initiated a flurry of speculation. While some suggested it to be a weather balloon or a stray satellite, others proposed more extravagant theories such as alien spacecraft or secret military technology.
Commenting on the public speculation, Eman said, “Most people thought it might be a weather balloon. I checked a flight radar app, and there were no planes or balloons anywhere near the area. Some speculated it could be a satellite, but I am not completely convinced.’
